gladiator
Film director Ridley Scott's Gladiator has been hailed as one of the most epic films of all time. The film highlights the glory of Rome at its peak. The cinematography, cast, and action sequences were Oscar-worthy as the film won the best picture award of the year 2000. Set in Roman times, the story is inspired by Emperor Commodus and his father Marcus Aurelius. This print depicts the scene with arguably the most recognizable quote from the movie “Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Isn't this why you are here?!” Maximus is a soldier (Russell Crowe), not a merciless killer who kills for fun. This separates him from the gladiators as someone who fights for his county and not as someone who fights for show.
