Description
Wife of Xhosa chief
The African prints are the perfect way to give your home a personal touch. This print shows the wife of a Xhosa (possibly Gonaqua) chieftain with a child in a sling. The design is available on poster, canvas and plexiglass.
The artwork dates from 1777 and was created by the artist Robert Jacob Gordon. Gordon was a Dutch explorer, soldier, artist and naturalist. The artist made hundreds of drawings of landscapes, animals, peoples and individuals during his travels. Combine this print with one of the other prints from the Africa collection for a perfect pair.
